Swiss delegation to NLSDays in Gothenburg
A Swiss delegation is for the first time heading to Gothenburg to participate in NLSDays.
Nordic-Swiss exchanges within life science are on the rise. Earlier this year a Nordic life science-delegation participated in the Swiss Biotech Days. Now, a Swiss delegation organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in Sweden is heading to Sweden and Nordic Life Science Days.
Gustav Henriksson, Head of Swiss Business Hub Nordics at the Embassy of Switzerland in Sweden, tells about the incoming Swiss delegation to NLSDays in Gothenburg 13-14 October.
This will be the first Swiss delegation to Nordic Life Science Days, what has led to the decision to form a delegation?
– We see an ever increasing interest in the Swiss health ecosystems among Nordic cluster organisations and companies. For instance this spring, SwedenBIO, Medicon Valley Allience and the Life Science Cluster from Norway had a joint Nordic pavillion at the Swiss Biotech Days (accompanied by Cellectricon, Cytel, Invest in Skåne, Mavatar, Pelago Bioscience, SmiLe Venture Hub, VentriLabs). At the same time, we see Nordic Life Science Days as the event in the combined life science and health tech space in the Nordics. Our aim is to bridge the physical gap between the Nordic and Swiss ecosystems, and we aim to build up a steady exchange over the years.
How has the interest been from Swiss companies to join the delegation and how many do you expect to join?
– We are in the middle of recruiting companies at the moment, so it is too early to say, but we have had interest from both CMOs, early stage companies, and IPR experts to join.
What can delegates expect from the Swiss pavilion and the global insights presentation you will be giving?
– We will present the width and depth of the Swiss Life Science ecosystem, with both representatives from one of our cantons our companies, and our ecosystem expert from Headquarters.

The Swiss delegation will be presented in the form of a pavilion exhibiting the dynamic Swiss life science sector.
