Gothenburg – a friendly city on the west coast of Sweden, home to a vibrant cultural scene, world-class restaurants, sustainable living and picturesque archipelago islands.

Svenska Mässan’s central location places the venue within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, pubs, shopping malls and theatres.

How to get there by air

The international airport Landvetter (GOT) is located 20 kilometres south-east of the city centre and you can easilty travel from various destinations in Europe and the world.

Airport shuttle bus, Vy flygbussarna, travel to and from Landvetter Airport (approx. 30 min. journey) stopping at Korsvägen/Svenska Mässan.

Taxi or rental cars are also available at the airport. You can reach Svenska Mässan by car or taxi in around 20 minutes.

By Car or Taxi

Svenska Mässan is northern Europe’s largest meeting place for comprehensive experiences with a unique location in the middle of the event area in central Gothenburg.

By train or tram

SJ, Öresundstågen, VR, Västtrafik, Tågab and Vy trains are running frequent services to and from the central station in Gothenburg, connecting the city with the Scandinavian capitals Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. The journey times are just under 4 hours from Oslo, around 3 hours from Stockholm and 3,5 hours from Copenhagen. The trains from Denmark stop at Copenhagen international airport, making it a convenient option to fly there and catch the train to Gothenburg.

From the main railway station take the number 2 tram (towards Mölndal) or the 4 (towards Mölndal). From Brunnsparken Square you can also take the number 5 tram (towards Östra Sjukhuset). The trams stop at Korsvägen/Svenska Mässan. Tram timetables can be found on the Västtrafik website.

Accommodation

Gothia Towers is a four-star hotel in central Gothenburg and one of Europe’s largest with 1200 rooms . The hotel is located in three towers: Tower 1, Tower 2 and Tower 3. They are 75, 82 and 100 meters high respectively. The top six floors of Tower 2 are a five-star part of the hotel called the Upper House.

Visa information

Visa requirements for entry into Sweden vary by country. Citizens of European Union countries and several other countries can visit Sweden without a visa, if they meet certain requirements.
